C'mon!!! - What's Going On w/ MVP?!?!
Thursday, December 4, 2008, 10:07 PM EST [General]
I've been an MVP fan since his appearance on WWE television. As a matter of fact, everytime I watch WWE programming and MVP music begins to blast through the nearest television set, I drop whatever I'm doing and mimic his entrance all the way until he gets to the ring! I'm not the Universe's biggest MVP fan, but I dig the guy. He's got great talent, his gimmick is gold (imo), and he's got this way of making you dislike him without doing anything but being slightly obnoxious. But for whatever reason, MVP has sucked majorly for the last few months. And believe it or not, fans have noticed this regardless of their love for or hate of Smackdown's most valuable playa. Say what you will about the "highest paid superstar in Smackdown history," you can't sit anywhere without hearing a fan talk of their displeasure at the losing streak of MVP. To be frank, I believe MVP is actually two and a half more losses away from rivaling the amazing losing streak of Gilberg. Gavin Spears has had more wins than MVP. And what really amazes me, Universe, is the fact that a majority of us really want to see him win ONE match...b/c we believe he's talented enough for at least that. For whatever reason, MVP has lost his edge. Ever since losing the United States title, it seems like he's become just another face on the roster. He has no drive to stay on top, and perhaps that's because he's got a guaranteed multi-million dollar contract, and despite seeing his loss record rise faster than the billions served at McDonald's across the world, MVP knows he's got money in the bank, and he doesn't have to climb the first ladder to get to it. In my oh so humble opinion, in order to get back in the game, MVP has to become that no nonsense mat technician that took "He Who Shall Not Be Named" to the limit awhile back. I feel like MVP is caught in the same trap as Cryme Tyme and Santino Marella; as long as all four men continue to pander to silliness and smiles, they'll never eeeeeever see anything remotely worth a damn as far as championship belts are concerned. At this point, MVP would be better off being the X Division Champion...it's not like he's doing anything else worthwhile, so why not give him a title that acknowledges that fact? In short, here's to MVP's streak...hopefully it'll end soon, but you really won't catch me holding my breath for too much longer. Tags:

I gotta quit again
Thursday, December 4, 2008, 08:54 PM CST [General]
I have seen so many reasons to quit smoking presented to me, and really I have been a real stickler when it comes to not smoking in public and listeneing to my better half in the situation, but you know there are a few things that really piss me off about smoking. 1. When I smoke a half a cigarette, I decide well I am not going to buy any for a few days and do something productive like write you guys, instead of doing other things. 2. When I smoke half a cigarette, well, I go back after I do not have any more and light the other half. But you know the other half is the deadliest part because there is less filter and all the good stuff gets in towards the filter. 3. I was thinking that less smoking, more cuddly cuddle time, and eventually things will come around. 4. When I am quitting and doing good, the smokes are cheap and easy to get. When I am like the heck with it, I can't get unhooked, they get really hard to buy, expensive, and all the places I like to get them are closed when I have scoured the house for change for them. It is a real entertaining event to see me go for my much anticipated repreaval. 5. I just want to cry, knowing that they are so time consuming, when I see the ashtray/(I like to think of it as a trophy). 6. You heard of the patch right? I tried that but then, I was like they don't have as many selections of the patch, they are just plain o' generics. I like full flavor, and menthol, or lights too. Maybe one day I would like some spank my bronchioles with tar and nicotine, the next, I might just want one that goives me that second hand effect, it just depends. 7. I have to explain why I am mad, even when I am not mad about smoking. I've always been mad, mad for years. Absolutely and utterly mad about it. I was mad in second grade when I had to see the ones that had an expiration date on them. 8. And you know, this is just a hissing gas about smoking to me, many people (including me) worry about being a statistic in it all, huingry natinos, smoke a spliffy, kiss a butt, what ever you call it, and maybe you missed P, B and J will get to someone else less fortunate. With all the cottony tobacco rolls I it up, I done fed every misguided child in your nearest third world nation, or 2nd world nation, if you can name any of them. There is a good behind it too you know? What does a person in my situation do to get away from it all? Well, I thought that I could paint, draw, or make some more beautiful art to leave behind after get evicted, convivted, emigrated, or incarcerated, or graduated, whichever comes first, and takes the least time, money, and effort from whoever is in charge these day of those things besides me. I left some art in a coffee shop once, and it was a nice gift to some good acquaintances. I say all's well that ends well. Maybe scentual attraction will be stronger than eye candy one day, and sensual attraction can develop into a good thing that includes less absence of back and legt massages in my pitter patter of dreams and R.E.M. (not the band) sleep. But anyways until later. Come up with your own reason to quit, or keep going.

P's of gratitude! Powerless... over people, places, things, situations... I am powerless, and I am grateful to know this today! Prayer... I pray pray pray... morning, noon, night, and inbetween... I change my conversations with me, to ones with God! Promises... When I got here, I thought they were a scam to keep me coming back... I thought they had to be blown out of proportion... but today I know better... I grateful to know The Promises in my life today! Painstaking... yes, "If we are painstaking about this phase of our development, we will be amazed before we are half way through. We are going to know a new freedom and a new happiness." I'm grateful for the work that it takes for this truth today! Program... of Alcoholics Anonymous!!!!!! Perspective... is something that I can change today! When something doesn't set well with me, I can look at the thoughts preceding the feeling... changing my thoughts is changing my perspective... thus I have a choice of feeling today! People... I don't have to run from people anymore... I am grateful to like... actually enjoy People today... You people are way cool! Passion... I am grateful to have real passion's today... healthy passion's... from my heart and soul... I have an intense passion for this way of life... and I can even feel passionate! Peace... The gift of Peace and serenity... despite life... is a gift that words don't really describe... a special depth! Play... I am grateful to have found the child inside of me... to be able to blow bubble's laying on my back in bed... play in a puddle after the rains... make mud pies and sand castles... play in the night with flashlights... fly a kite on the beach... slide down an ordinary slide... kick a ball... chase a dragonfly... laugh... for no special reason... just to be able to laugh... and Play is a wonderful gift today!
Thanks God!

BIG EAST FOOTBALL
Thursday, December 4, 2008, 09:48 PM EST [General]
Halftime Rutgers 49 Louisville 0. Mike Teel 6 1st half TD passes. Rutgers 468 total yards. As I stated 2 days ago UC needs to enjoy Coach Kelly now because when he leaves and eventually he will the next chapter wont be as pretty. Eventually when one of the big boys come calling and they will his ego will not allow him to stay at UC. Tags:

They keep getting better
Thursday, December 4, 2008, 09:40 PM EST [General]
Last night showed me again that the heels are far and away the number 1 team in the nation. MSU played a pretty good game and was able to keep it close for a while, but Carolina was too deep and talented. To beat them by 35 and have 93 points with more than 3 minutes to go says something. Keep in mind they are missing their best defensive player in Ginyard. The one key that has lacked this team for 3 years now is defense. They seem to have caught on to what Roy W has been preaching and are playing some really good team D. Davis continues to impress me and drew seems to have the calmness of a junior. I will say this though I've not seen too much of Uconn this year to know how they look, but they have size and would be the one team right away to challenge the heels. Duke doesnt scare me, because coach K only recruits 3 point shooters and as always, they have a bad game in the tourny and no big man to rebound or play d and of course they lose. Aside from Uconn, have not been able to watch a whole lot of the top 10, but if things continue to play out, should be cutting down the nets again baby. Tags:

Britney Spears' former husband Jason Alexander is behind bars at Los Angeles County Twin Towers jail after being arrested for DUI in 2006. As part of his rehab, Brit's 55-hour husband was ordered to complete an alcohol education program including visiting the county morgue. But after skipping his first two appointments, a judge sent him right back to jail to serve out a ten-day prison sentence. He is scheduled for release on Tuesday, Dec. 9. |
